A new expression
Well I learnt a new expression today.
Package enhancement
It was during an interview with a scientist who is developing a new range of men's underpants. The meaning? I will leave that to you to find out.

Today's Listening Lesson - hard / hardly
Today we listened to a piece of text about how two faced the British can be when it comes to moaning about people from other countries living and working in the UK, when compared with the number of foreign players in football not to mention filling the job of the English football manager.
The words hard and hardly came up, so I'll have to add them to my common English mistakes page.

Revolution
But revolve means one complete circular movement of something.
So all revolutions are doomed to revolve.
Timing is everything
For example:-
"If you're launching a new business, timing is everything."
This photo shows a ticket from our visit to the museum at Prora on Rügen. We were issued this ticket to go to the cafe. You can go and just have a coffee for free, but you have to be booked in and out.
When you go in they give you this ticket. When you pick up your coffee the person at the till fills in the time, when you leave the cafe they fill in the time, when you get back to the ticket desk they fill in the time.
German efficiency? Or complete lunacy?
Oh and dogs are welcome too.
:-)

Today's listening lesson
I've been very remiss in posting up the lessons. Naughty me.
Today we listened to a short text about drug dealers and addicts! The story was about an addict, Sandy Bergen from Canada, who took her dealer to court.
You can read about the story here.

The Hakab Private English School.
Islamic militants murdered four teachers, two of them British, after attacking a Somali town, near the Ethiopian border. The bodies were discovered at the Hakab Private English School.
A spokesperson for the Islamist al-Shabab Movement, who admitted its men took the town said: "We heard that the foreigners were killed but we do not claim responsibility."
